Graphite rings are die formed compressed graphite rings. They are flexible and highly impermeable to gases and liquids. Advantage of graphite rings is long life with no hardening deformations. Installation and removal of graphite rings can be done without danger of damage on the sealing faces. Therefore they can be excellent substitute for some types of metal O-rings.

• The graphite pressure seal can save up to 75% in valve maintenance costs through reduced issues.
• Unlike metal pressure seals, graphite pressure seals do not fuse to valve components, hence eliminating the need for improvised hydraulic rams for seal removal. The graphite pressure seal lifts out of the valve as easily as it went in.
• In many cases the graphite pressure seal can work in oversize, out-of-round, steam cut and pitted bonnet valves WITHOUT the need for welding, grinding or refinishing. It conforms into the marred sealing surface and covers all leak-paths.
